Dawa Infotech won by 154 runs

1st Inning
Dawa InfoTech won the toss and opted to bat first and scored 213 runs loss of 10 wickets in 35.5 overs. Jigme Singye top scorer with 42 runs and well supported by Dampo 26 and Lobzang 22 runs.

Pling Warriors Pema was pick of the bowler with 4wickets 49 runs in 10 overs.

2nd Inning
Pling Warriors were bowled out for mere 61 runs with Saroj top scoring for 15runs. It was Jigme Singye days as he rattled Pling Warrior batsmen by taking 6 wickets including a hat-trick and is the first in the super league 2012.

Dawa InfoTech won by 154 runs. Jigme Singye was awarded with Man of the Match.

Dawa InfoTech still needs to wait for the result of up-coming match between Webnuk and Rigsum CC to confirm their seat in semi. Rigsum is already qualified for semi where Web Nuk has to win by bigger margin to book a place in Semi-Final.

DSB CC Vs RTC

DSB Won By 68 Runs

1st Inning
DSB won the toss and opted to bat first and scored 183 runs loss of 10 wickets in 34 overs. DSB’s lower order batsman Bhawannath was the pick of the batsman with 41 runs, Manoj Adhikari 37 runs and 24 runs from Raj Kumar.

RTC’s Ngawang Nidup and Buddhiman picked 3 wickets respectively.

2nd Inning
Royal Thimphu College scored 115 runs all out in 39.4 overs. Tshering Tashi scored the highest from their side with 25 runs.

DSB left arm Offy Doc Sampath was pick of the bowler by taking 4 wickets for 31 runs in 10 overs.

DSB won the match by 68 runs and lead the Group B as topper with three wins. RTC were out of the Super league without a win to their name.

BTCL Vs RTC

BTCL Won by 59 Runs

1st Inning
BTCL won the toss and opted to bat first, BTCL scored 177 for 10 wickets in 29 overs. 43 runs came from extras. Opener Tandin scored 29 runs, tail ender Barun added 30 and Tshering Tashi 26 runs.

RTC’s pick of the bowler was Ngawang Nidup 3 wickets in 8.1 over conceding 28 runs.

2nd Inning
RTC managed to score 119 runs in 32 overs. Top scorer was opener Yonten 27 runs, Subajit 16 and Tshering 20 runs.

Pick of the bowl was Tandin Wangchuk 4 wickets for 31 runs in 9.3 overs.
BTCL won the match by 59 runs. Man of the Match was awarded to Tandin for 29 runs and 4 wickets. Tandin shared his awarded with Barun for his excellent performance from both bat and bowl.

BTCL will face in the must win game against Bhutan Telecom 12th May. The winner of this match will qualify for semi.

Rigsum CC won by 49 Runs

Rigsum scored 164 runs for lost of 10 wickets in 32.1 overs.
Rigsum’s opener Ugyen contributed 28 runs but the top scorer was Captain Ugyen Dorji for his excellent knock of 40 runs from 31 balls. Dawa’s DS Gurung was the pick of the bowler for 5 wickets in 10 overs conceding 36 runs.

Rigsum CC Vs Pling Warriors

Rigsum CC won by 7 Wickets

Last year’s defending champion Rigsum with fresh arsenal and complete new faces lead by veteran Ugyen Dorji wiped off Pling warriors on super Sunday.

Pling Warriors won the toss and elected bat first. Pling warriors managed to score only 115 runs in 20 overs. Only three of the Pling Warriors managed to reach double figure. Saroj Rai was the top scorer with 25 runs followed by Pema Dorji with 19 runs and Kinga who scored 13 runs.

Saru, the right arm offe demolished the batting lineup as he went on to take 4 wickets for 15 runs in 3.5 overs. Other successful bowler was Sagar with 3 wickets.

Bhutan Telecom Vs RTC

Bhutan Telecom Won by 132 runs

Bhutan Telecom starts the tourney with some mouthwatering batting performance as the team recorded highest run scored so far in the tournament with 291runs and won convincingly against RTC.

The day favored telecom as they won the toss and decided to bat first against the weak but ecstatic Royal Thimphu College. Opener Sonam Jamtsho made splendid 68 runs which helped telecom to reach enormous total. Sonam Jamtsho had to departure when he was caught at cover at late stage of the first inning when he tried to get maximum of Sonam Kitsep’s ball.

On other hand Suprit contributed brilliantly with breath taking shots and he had almost all shots in the cricketing book. He made 57 runs before he was trapped LBW by RTC strike bowler Krishna.

Sonam and Suprit went to make record partnership of 102 runs which is also one of the highest recorded partnerships in the tourney so far.
Other fellow batsmen made some valuable contribution with Suman making valuable 28 runs and Shiva with his hard hitting performance made 19 runs in quick succession.
Krishna, right arm medium pacer was the pick of the bowler from the RTC side as he went on to take 5 wickets.

Dawa Infotech Vs Web Nuk

Dawa Infotech won by 10 Runs

Dawa Infotech started their super league campaign with a shaky win over Web Nuk, Elected to bat first after winning toss, Dawa Infotech posted a mere 95 runs all in in 14.4 overs thanks to a discipline bowling attack from Web Nuk. Sushil Sharma Top scored for Dawa Infotech with 15 Runs. Bishwajeet was pick of bowler taking 4 wicket and conceding 22 runs and well supported by Captain Thinley Jamtsho with 3 wickets for 9 runs.

We Nuk started their inning disastrous with both the opener falling to the brilliant bowling attack from Dawa Infotech Lobzang Younten and Kumar Subba. Their disaster continued as the Dawa Infotech bowling attack took wickets from both the end. Web Nuk Captain Thinley Jamtsho showed some resistant with 19 runs of 26 balls, Towards the end, Web Nuk manged to make only 85 runs and falling 10 runs short of victory.
