Bhutan U16 National Team With Coach Ugyen Dorji

Bhutan Cricket U16 National Team announced it’s 14 players who will be participating in the ACC U16 Challenge Cup 2010 to be held in Penang, Malaysia from 12th to 19 July 2010. The 14 Players comprises mostly student from Thimphu District and Gelephu Dungkhag in Sarpang District, Coached by Mr. Ugyen Dorji CA/ACC Level II Certified.

The List of players are:

1. Jigme Chogyel (Captain), 2. Dorji Khandu (vice-Captain), 3. Ugyen Dorji, 4. Rekash Pradhan, 5. Chencho Gyeltshen, 6. Yogesh Saru, 7. Tenzin Wangchuk, 8. Sagar Pradhan, 9. Pema Wangchuk, 10. Ugyen tenzin, 11. Jigme Tobgay, 12. Phub Tshering, 13. Shankar Mizer, 14. Khenrub Wangchuk, Ugyen Dorji (Coach)

Bhutan is grouped alongside Afghanistan, Maldives and Brunei in the ACC U-16 Challenge Cup 2010 to be held in Penang, Malaysia from 11th to 19th July 2010.

Bhutanese Under-16 players are still practicing hard for the tournament, BCCB will soon announce the final 14 players after the ACC Age Verification Programe result.

The Cold winter breeze over the capital city Thimphu couldn’t effect the coaches and the under-16 players getting ready for the up coming ACC Under-16 Tournament which is scheduled to be held in Malaysia from 11th - 18th July 2010. The selection camp started 1 month earlier where about 40 participants turnout and will last till the end of the May 2010 where coaches Mr Tshering Dorji, Mr Ugyen Dorji and Mr Tobgay Wangchuk will be selecting the best 14 players for the tournament. Five days a week, the camp runs and the best are selected while other are left out. By April 2010, the final 14 players will be announced and they will be given intensive coaching and training daily.
